Andrea Travels to Northern Spain for Food and Wine

Please join me on my food travels through Northern Spain.  I start out in Barcelona on the Eastern coast, fly to the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, return to the mainland, go to Bilbao and San Sebastián on the Northern coast before heading southward through the wine countries of Rioja and Ribera del Duero and ending in the capital, Madrid.

The Spanish are very friendly and helpful, even to a less-than-fluent visitor.  They do eat on a late schedule so be prepared for lunch at 14:00 and dinner at 22:00.  Most restaurants do not even open for dinner until 21:00.  Not to worry - that’s what the siesta is for!

I have attached web links to the restaurants, where available.  Feel free to email questions.

Ciao for now!
