Fork touts itself as being farm to “fork”, but for me, there’s just something that doesn’t quite hit the mark with this place.
The dining area is pleasant enough although isn’t it a bit odd to see palm trees at a restaurant embracing locavore-ism rather than Caribbean-ism in Philadelphia, in December, in the midst of a record-breaking cold front?
The mixed wild mushroom plate isn’t nearly as ill-conceived as it looks. Most mushrooms come roasted with a few pickled here and there. It is accompanied by a tasty porcini mousse.
The roasted fish is topped with artichokes (do you remember the date? December!) is pleasant and well-cooked, bit ultimately and unfortunately rather forgettable.
Ciao for now...
